About
Ivette Kettel has always had an eye for decorating and interior design. As a young girl, she was inspired by her own Mother who was always redesigning and redecorating their home. It’s clear that her passion for the design industry comes from very early on in her life.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and TV production from Florida International University and over 10 years of experience working in television, Ivette has had the opportunity to create interiors that are not only beautiful in person but on video and photography as well. She styled numerous segments for national television shows and her work ranged from styling kitchen countertops to living spaces to be used for shooting interviews and lifestyle segments. Ivette became extremely knowledgeable in this field and continues to style for video and photography.
In her personal pursuit of redesigning and remodeling her own homes throughout the years, her curiosity for the art of design grew further. She became interested in design trends, building materials, fabrics, etc. This new interest opened a whole new horizon for her. Without even realizing it, at this point she began offering design consultations to her friends and family. It was obvious that what once was a personal hobby had developed into a career.
@Kettelhome was born and through this platform she began to share her design journey. She contributes to a community of design enthusiasts who share interior ideas and trends. By showcasing her work on her Instagram portfolio she has been approached by both furniture stores that look to give their furniture more appeal and private clients who are interested in decorating their home.
Ivette Kettel possesses the intuitive ability to create not only a beautiful space but also one that has great energy. “I have always thought of interior design as an art form that has much of its basis with the client’s personality. When designing a space there has to be a perfect balance between beauty and functionality but also there has to be a connection or a purpose with those who will use the space. By taking the time to know my client’s personalities, cultural background, lifestyles, color choices, and sense of style amongst other details, I am able to get a feeling for what their home or workspace should be like and create a one of a kind space that is unique to them.”
